God is Bigger

Greetings from us at MTBC in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

As the saying goes… time waits for no one. Life is fleeting and our time is limited. And as such, I want to bring you a thought from Isaiah 46:3-4 regarding how big our God truly is. Let’s read together . . .

3 Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of the people of Israel, you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born. 4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” [NIV]

One of the most important verses in the Bible for linking the Old and New Testament is 1 Corinthians 10:11a: These things happened to them (Israel) as examples and were written down as warnings (admonition) for us…” [NIV]

The WAY God cared for Israel tells us He WILL CARE for us.

God birthed the nation of Israel and has carried and cared for her and will deliver her at the end of the age. NOTHING Israel has experienced WILL BE more than she is able to bear and for those who trust IN the Lord.

Likewise, God elected believers IN Christ and called us to Himself. NOTHING can separate us from His love and His divine purposes to conform US TO the image of His Son, Jesus Christ – see Romans 8:28-29, 35-39. . .

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters…

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” [NIV]

WHEN WE face difficulties in life, WE ARE assured they will not be stronger than Gods power to deliver and save us. Amen!

If you are experiencing tests or trials, remember that God is bigger than them all. NOTHING will derail His plans for YOUR eternal destiny. Hallelujah! And whatever He has called you to do, He will empower you to do it and do it well.

Mathew Henry put it this way: ‘Righteousness delivers from the sting of death, but not from the stroke of it.

So brethren, believe that your God is bigger than anything or anyone that stands against you. Amen! Be of good cheer, He whom you serve is bigger than you and I can ever imagine. Amen!

You have a great and BLESSED month!
